Patient Care Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Contact clients before appointments to set expectations and prepare them for their visit.
  • Act as a medical scribe, capturing real-time medical information from the veterinarian.
  • Create, present, and explain treatment plans to clients.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure efficient completion of treatment plans and handle in-room check-outs.
  • Educate clients about discharge instructions, prescription fulfillment, and any client inquiries.
  • Follow up with clients after visits to monitor their pet's well-being and communicate any test results.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A genuine love for animals and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
  • A friendly, personable, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Proficient in active listening, with strong computer literacy and typing skills for accurate medical transcription.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
