Veterinary Oncologist - Owner Veterinarian
About the role
Arista Advanced Pet Care is building a new multispecialty veterinary hospital in Asheville. The founding ownership group includes clinicians in emergency, internal medicine, surgery, and an upcoming fourth specialty. They aim to create a collaborative culture where exceptional patient care is supported by exceptional veterinary professionals.
Who we are looking for
- Generous with technicians and fellow doctors
- Believe cases should go where they will receive the best care
- Want to teach and learn because contributing is the right thing to do
- Look for a way to say yes, even when it would be easier to say no
- Assume good intentions and bring concerns with possible solutions
- Want to help build the culture, not sit on the sidelines and critique it
- Care about the pet‑owning community and the veterinary professionals who serve it
- Have a sense of humor, because veterinary medicine is hard and we need to have some fun together while doing it
What working here looks like
You will practice in a modern emergency and multispecialty hospital where real‑time consultation is the norm and complex cases are managed collaboratively. The Care Navigation team guides clients through referrals, Scribble provides ambient dictation, and Instinct serves as the EMR and practice management system. Production is paid monthly with a transparent dashboard, and ideas are welcomed and often implemented.
Ownership or associate path
Oncologists can choose an ownership track, acquiring a meaningful equity stake, participating in local decisions, and sharing in the value they help create. Associates work alongside clinician owners, influencing how medicine is practiced, and there are no non‑compete agreements.
