About the role

An externship experience at Oley Valley Animal Clinic will provide students with hands-on clinical experience and insight into veterinary practice operations.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in gathering patient histories
• Perform physical exams
• Create treatment plans
• Diagnose and perform dental services
• Assist or perform surgical procedures under supervision
• Manage medical care for patients
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients

Qualifications

• Eligible 3rd and 4th year veterinary students
• Participation in the clinical portion of their education
• Eligibility for a travel/living expense stipend
