General Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider

About the role

This Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) position is a general cardiology role located primarily at: St. Luke’s North. The role is full time 0.875 FTE. The shift is based on 10 hour shifts (7:30-5:30). 7 days in a 2 week pay period. The primary patient population is adult. There is a weekend and holiday commitment for this role.

Responsibilities

• The employee will be responsible for the medical management of the Cardiology patient population within the scope of an Advanced Practice Provider.
• The APP will hold and maintain a national certification and licensure as required by State Boards and Saint Luke’s Health System, as well as other certification as obligatory for this role.
• The APP will accurately diagnose and treat Cardiology disease processes including general cardiology with a focus on subspecialized patient populations as indicated.
• The APP will utilize prescriptive authority in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• The APP will obtain and document relevant problem focused or comprehensive history from patient/medical records in a timely manner.
• The APP will communicate effectively using appropriate terminology, format, and technology in accordance with health system policies.
• The APP will analyze data to determine health status.
• The APP will communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
• The APP will perform an accurate physical exam.
• The APP will demonstrate basic science and up to date clinical knowledge.
• The APP will establish a patient relationship characterized by mutual respect, empathy, and collaboration.
• The APP will take initiative for seeking opportunities to advance knowledge and experiences.
• The APP will demonstrate flexibility with scheduled rotations / locations as needed to ensure patient needs are met.

Requirements

• Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
• Advanced Practice Provider Cert(MO/KS)
• Variety of Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Master's Degree
