About the role

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Cardiology, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. This position will be housed in the Cardiac Molecular Imaging (CMI) department and primarily support all non-invasive imaging cardiovascular patients out our LDS Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Managing patient lists and queues, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate scheduling for cardiovascular procedures and tests.
  • Reviewing and triaging orders, verifying patient information, and coordinating care delivery, including stress test supervision, pacemaker/defibrillator device interrogations, ambulatory telemetry monitoring and mail-out options for remote patients.
  • Documenting all patient interactions and scheduling attempts in the electronic medical record.
  • Maintaining clear communication and accurate records.
  • Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other APPs to optimize patient care pathways and ensure high-quality cardiovascular services.
  • Participating in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members as the service line grows and evolves.

What You’ll Bring

  • APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
  • Active, unobstructed Utah license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • Minimum 1 years of cardiology experience as an NP or PA
