Veterinary Extern - General Practice
About the role
Rockwall County Veterinary Clinic offers up to a $1,500 travel stipend for Clinical Year Externships. An externship experience at an NVA hospital will give students the unique opportunity to understand the day-to-day operations of the practice, and to gain valuable hands-on clinical experience.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the supervising Associate Veterinarians
- Gather patient histories
- Perform physical exams
- Create treatment plans
- Diagnose and perform diagnostics
- Provide dental services
- Assist or perform surgical procedures
- Manage medical care for patients
- Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients
Requirements
Students must be 3rd and 4th year veterinary students who are in the clinical portion of their education.
Qualifications
