Veterinary Extern - General Practice
About the role
Main Street Animal Hospital is a 4-doctor small animal practice located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia. We treat a typical caseload and have supportive clients who are willing to pursue diagnostics, providing a fulfilling environment for veterinarians.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with supervising veterinarians to gather patient histories, perform physical exams, develop treatment plans, conduct diagnostics, provide dental care, assist with or perform surgical procedures, and manage patient medical needs.
- Practice clinical skills under supervision.
- Develop communication skills through interactions with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
Qualifications
Veterinary students of all classes are welcome to participate in our externship programs. Students in the clinical phase of their education may be eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
