About the role

An externship experience at an NVA hospital will provide students with unique insights into the daily operations of veterinary practices. Each NVA hospital shares common elements such as a supportive, dedicated team committed to providing high-quality care and exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians at Kenmore Animal Hospital
• Gather patient histories
• Perform physical exams
• Create treatment plans
• Diagnose and implement diagnostic procedures
• Provide dental services
• Assist or perform surgical procedures under supervision
• Manage medical cases
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients

Qualifications

Veterinary students of all classes are welcome to participate. Those in the clinical phase of their education may be eligible for a travel/living expense stipend of $1,500 at Kenmore Animal Hospital.
