About the role

Gunston Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited hospital in the Greater DC area. We are a small animal GP practice that offers appointments, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gather patient histories, perform physical exams, create treatment plans, perform diagnostics, assist with dental services, observe/supervise or perform surgical procedures, and manage medical cases.
• Practice clinical skills under supervision.
• Develop communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

Qualifications

• Eligible 4th-year veterinary students.
• Students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
