Veterinary Extern - General Practice

About the role

At Fernandina Beach Animal Clinic, we offer a unique externship opportunity for veterinary students. Students will work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of veterinary practice.

Responsibilities

- Gather patient histories - Perform physical exams - Create treatment plans - Conduct diagnostics - Provide dentistry services - Assist or perform surgical procedures - Manage medical cases

Requirements

- Currently enrolled as a 3rd or 4th-year veterinary student - Completion of a minimum of one year of veterinary school - Good communication skills

Qualifications

- Strong academic performance - Demonstrated interest in veterinary medicine

Skills

- Proficiency in using electronic medical records - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
