About the role
This is a field-based, individual-contributor role responsible for executing the Veterinary Business Unit (BU) strategy and achieving business objectives and KPIs by delivering account-specific sales goals. You will identify clinic opportunities, leverage sales data, and work cross-functionally to grow relevance, access to clinics, and veterinary recommendations within your assigned geography.
Responsibilities
- Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities.
- Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs to grow clinics within the assigned geography.
- Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers.
- Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations tailored to the unique needs of veterinary staff.
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups across the BU and organization, balancing the needs of multiple internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts, and Scientific Affairs).
- Partner and collaborate with others to meet shared objectives.
- Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy effectively.
- Work in a cross-functional, team-based environment and adapt to highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing conditions.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with your Line Manager and adjust strategies, tactics, and investments based on evolving needs to maximize territory performance.
- Manage an expense and sales budget, and complete CRM call reports, expense reports, and presentations in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably B2B; veterinary clinic experience is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must live within the assigned territory (Lincoln, NE).
Travel
Overnight travel required (approximately 20-30%+), including occasional weekends for conferences.
