About the role
Accountable for execution of the Vet Business Unit (BU) strategy and achievement of business objectives/KPIs by delivering account-specific sales goals. This is accomplished by identifying clinic opportunities and leveraging sales data. The role works cross-functionally to grow relevance, access to clinics, and veterinary recommendation within the assigned geography. This is an individual contributor role.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years sales experience, preferably B2B
- Veterinary clinic experience preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
- Possession of a driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Overnight travel required; occasional weekends for conferences (approximately 20–30%+ travel)
Responsibilities
- Translate knowledge of products, categories, customer, and clinic data into business opportunities
- Develop and execute a territory business plan by understanding clinic operational needs; leverage this to grow clinics within assigned geography
- Establish and grow relationships with clinic decision-makers within assigned geography
- Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven presentations to address the unique needs of veterinary staff
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholder groups across the BU and organization, balancing the needs and interests of multiple internal and external stakeholders (Account teams, Digital Sales, Inside Accounts, and Scientific Affairs)
- Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives
- Execute the Veterinary Business Unit sales strategy
- Work in a cross-functional, team-based environment; adept at operating in highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing environments
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with Line Manager and routinely adjust strategies, tactics, and investments based on changing needs to maximize territory performance
- Manage an expense and sales budget
- Complete CRM call reports, expense reports, and presentations in a timely and accurate manner
