VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center is a 24-hour AAHA-accredited hybrid General Practice and Emergency hospital seeking an experienced Outpatient Veterinary Assistant Supervisor to lead our General Practice outpatient team. Our Outpatient Department is more than a General Practice service—it's the foundation of our Veterinary Assistant career development pathway. This department is designed to build strong clinical fundamentals while developing Veterinary Assistants for future growth into Emergency and Treatment roles.

What You'll Do

• Lead, mentor, and support the Outpatient Veterinary Assistant team
• Develop foundational clinical skills that prepare Veterinary Assistants for future growth into Emergency and Treatment departments
• Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and performance development
• Aid with onboarding and training of new Veterinary Assistants
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture
• Partner with DVMs and hospital leadership to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes
• Monitor workflow, patient flow, and staffing needs throughout the day
• Serve as a resource for conflict resolution, communication, and professional development

Qualifications

Previous leadership experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with a strong passion for leadership, training, and employee development are encouraged to apply.
