Veterinarian Specialist - Surgery

About the role

We are currently seeking a board-certified surgeon to join our team at our Buffalo, NY hospital. Our hospital provides 24/7 emergency and urgent care for pets in the Western New York region.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgeries in a modern facility equipped with two surgical suites, digital radiography, and ultrasonography.
• Utilize Instinct Electronic Medical Records and have imaging studies read by Board Certified Radiologists.
• Collaborate with a team-oriented environment focused on training students in various veterinary-related careers.

Requirements

• Board certification in veterinary surgery.
• Experience in emergency and/or urgent care settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New York.

• Proficiency with electronic medical records systems.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $160,000 to $193,000. Additionally, you may be eligible to earn certain production as determined in accordance with company policy.

Schedule

Our hospital operates on a 24/7 schedule to provide emergency and urgent care for pets in the Western New York region.
