About the role
BluePearl in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a full-time boarded veterinarian criticalist or individuals who have completed a critical care residency training to join our state-of-the-art specialty and emergency hospital. We are expanding our specialty services due to high caseload, and the continued opportunity for growth.
Responsibilities
- Staff the ER/ICU department with dedicated clinicians and skilled technicians.
- Utilize state-of-the-art equipment including a 64-slice CT, Yag Laser, laparoscopic equipment, fluoroscopy, endoscopic equipment, digital radiography, in-house clinical cytology (DACVP), lithotripsy, phacoemulsification equipment, operating microscope, 24-hour staffing with an intensive care unit equipped with Snyder O2 cages and a separate isolation area.
- Add Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy to the hospital.
- Offer Trupanion pet insurance and discounts to our associates for pet treatments, procedures, and food.
- Encourage growth and development through talent development programs and leadership workshops.
- Provide annual continuing education allowance, free continuing education sessions, and access to over 2,000 medical journals.
Requirements
- Board certified in Critical Care or completed a critical care residency training.
- Experience in emergency and critical care preferred.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Kentucky.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
