About the role
This position provides patient care within the scope of practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Maintain medical records
- Monitor work of subordinates to ensure quality care is provided and in compliance with patient care procedures and department policies
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or eligible to be licensed in the State of South Dakota
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practices; recent developments in the field of professional nursing applicable to the area of assignment; clinical procedures
- Ability to keep records; follow instructions; operate a variety of medical equipment; make reports on observations; apply general nursing techniques and practices; maintain a helpful and sympathetic attitude toward patients; communicate effectively; deal effectively with patients and staff
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate Will Have All certificates and/or tests required for performance at this level must be obtained and/or completed. On the job training is available.

Pay
$27.61, depending upon experience, plus $5.00 per hour shift pay for night shifts / $1.00 per hour shift pay for pm shift / plus $1.50 per hour weekend pay.
