About the role
This position provides patient care within the scope of practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Maintain medical records
- Monitor work of subordinates to ensure quality care is provided
- Operate a variety of medical equipment
- Make reports on observations
- Apply general nursing techniques and practices
- Communicate effectively
- Deal effectively with patients and staff
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or eligible to be licensed in the State of South Dakota
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practices
- Recent developments in the field of professional nursing applicable to the area of assignment
- Ability to keep records
- Follow instructions
- Operate a variety of medical equipment
- Make reports on observations
- Apply general nursing techniques and practices
- Communicate effectively
- Deal effectively with patients and staff
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background investigation
- Must be able to pass an abuse and neglect screening

Benefits
- $27.61, depending upon experience, plus $5.00 per hour shift pay for night shifts / $1.00 per hour shift pay for pm shift / plus $1.50 per hour weekend pay
