Venture Capital & Emerging Growth Associate Attorney
About the role
This role offers the chance to work at the center of the venture ecosystem, advising emerging companies, venture funds, and growth-stage investors on high-impact transactions. Associates are given meaningful responsibility, frequent client interaction, and the opportunity to collaborate across corporate, M&A, IP, tax, and regulatory teams on complex, venture-backed matters.
Responsibilities
- Representing companies and investors in venture and growth equity financings
- Drafting and negotiating NVCA-based and bespoke financing documents
- Advising on corporate governance, capitalization, and strategic structuring matters
- Supporting M&A, joint ventures, private equity, and other complex corporate transactions
- Managing multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced, deal-driven practice
- Collaborating closely with partners and cross-disciplinary teams
Qualifications
- JD required
- Minimum of 3 years of prior experience at a law firm handling sophisticated corporate transactions
- Meaningful exposure to venture capital and emerging growth companies
- Strong drafting skills, sound business judgment, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and take ownership of matters
- Experience beyond traditional technology practices—particularly life sciences or biotech—is a plus
Pay
Compensation includes a highly competitive base salary ranging from $250,000–$435,000, depending on experience, and discretionary bonus potential and a comprehensive benefits package.
Schedule
The role is available in Boston, Dallas, or New York City.
