Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains machine programs and profiles for new and existing products.
- Aids in maintaining product routings, drawing packets, and interpreting instructions/specifications for manufacturing operators.
- Maintains documentation records for production, test, and rework tasks.
- Troubleshoots operator problems successfully, work with leadership on training and process improvements.
- Operates and relocates vehicle systems.
- Updates procedures for vehicle systems with Engineers.
- Communicates problems to Engineers and/or leadership.
- Recommends additional equipment needs to leadership and/or Test Engineers for the product debug areas.
- Assists in the testing and qualification for new equipment, materials, and processes.
- Assists in performing experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.
- Integrates subassemblies into top level functional systems.
- Validates compatibility and communications between integrated systems.
- BUILDS, CONFIGURES, AND TESTS COMPLEX HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ASSEMBLIES.
- PERFORMS REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE TASKS FOR VEHICLES AND SUBSYSTEMS.
- WORKS DIRECTLY WITH PROGRAM MANAGEMENT TO REPORT SHORTAGE ISSUES, SCHEDULING, AND PRODUCTION ISSUES.
- WORKS DIRECTLY WITH QUALITY TO PERFORM VALIDATIONS TESTS PER CUSTOMERS SPECIFICATIONS (FINAL ATP).
- WORKS DIRECTLY WITH THE CUSTOMER TO PERFORM ACCEPTANCE TESTS AND INSPECTIONS (PIFCO).
- TAKES THE VEHICLES OUT TO THE FIELD TO PERFORM SYSTEMS CALIBRATION AND LEVELING.
- RESPONSIBLE FOR HELPING TRAIN NEW OPERATORS.
- PARTICIPATES IN LEAN, SIX SIGMA, AND KAIZEN CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES.
- COMPLIES AND FOLLOWS ALL COMPANY SECURITY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES WHILE WORKING ON PROBLEMS OF LIMITED SCOPE.
- FOLLOWS STANDARD PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES IN ANALYZING SITUATIONS OR DATA FROM WHICH ANSWERS CAN BE READILY OBTAINED.
- PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED.
Requirements
Proficient in use of power tools, heavy machinery, and test equipment.
Works in a high pace/pressure environment to maintain strict on-time delivery.
Requires lifting heavy equipment 50+ pounds.
Requires working inside and outside.
Requires bending, stooping, crouching, and crawling inside, under, and around vehicles.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
