About the role

Bergey’s Inc. is a family-owned business that has been servicing customers’ needs since 1924. With over 50 locations and more than 1,800 team members across Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey, the company operates automobile, truck, and tire dealerships. Bergey’s VW, Mazda, and Kia in Wilkes Barre, PA is seeking a sales associate to sell/lease new and used vehicles while meeting dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.

Responsibilities

• Write complete sales orders and process paperwork according to dealership policies.
• Utilize dealership sales control and follow‑up systems.
• Attend product and sales training courses as requested by the sales manager.
• Stay up‑to‑date on new products and services within the industry.
• Maintain an owner follow‑up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a prospect development system.
• Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner.
• Satisfy the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers.
• Approach, greet, and offer assistance/direction to any customer entering the showroom or sales lot.
• Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
• Explain fully product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
• Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
• Offer test drives to all prospects, following dealership procedure to obtain proper identification prior to the drive.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• State Sales License
• Valid Driver's License
• Successful completion of pre‑employment background checks and drug screening
