Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair all vehicle problems, in an expedient fashion
  • Perform PM’s on all vehicles quickly and efficiently
  • Perform advanced fabrication and custom modifications
  • Improvise and pioneer efficient methods for service and repairs
  • Give advice and pointers to less experienced staff
  • Document all parts usage
  • Document all work done on work orders
  • Follow all shop safety practices and dress code
  • Maintain tools and work area
  • Manage motor pool and have accountability for damage on a daily basis
  • Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Provide a guest experience that exceeds the guest’s expectations
  • Support Telluride Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives
  • Adhere to Telluride Ski & Golf policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of and adhere to Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Second to fifth year mechanic, journeyman level.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 100lbs and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100lbs.
  • Regularly stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
  • Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.
  • Frequent exposure to noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration.
