Automotive Mechanic II

NATURE AND VARIETY OF WORK

This position involves responsibility for the performance of skilled tasks in the mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance of automotive equipment including police vehicles, passenger cars, trucks, tractors, mowers, and/or other standard and specialized equipment. Assignments are received in the form of work orders, and employees work under general supervision, using independent judgment in diagnosis and repair. Work is subject to inspection while in progress and upon completion.
