Vehicle Inspect/Service Technician

Become a key member of the Koorsen team in the Winston Salem, NC area. We are seeking a Vehicle Suppression Technician to join our dynamic and innovative team. Responsibilities

• Inspect and service fire suppression systems on heavy equipment/machinery
• Represent Koorsen in a professional and positive manner
• Communicate effectively with customers and Koorsen staff
• Follow safety rules and maintain good driving habits
• Continue communication and cooperation with Koorsen staff
• Manage inventory and tools for each job
• Manage the installation job site efficiently and safely
• Complete and process required paperwork in a timely manner
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep the work truck clean and organized
• Manage installation jobs with equipment dealers
• Complete product certifications
• Follow Koorsen policies, procedures, and core values
• Ensure timely and professional communication with coworkers, customers, and vendors
• Be self-motivated and responsible for emergency service calls at all hours

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude and background
• Valid Driver's License, in good standing
• Safe driving policy criteria to be an active company vehicle driver
• Pass drug and background screenings
• Pass a test for Evidence of Substance Abuse by urinalysis test
• Heavy equipment background preferred
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, mining, or agricultural/diesel equipment experience
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to access and tolerate small crawl spaces
• Able to access all areas of the route vehicle, including loading/unloading materials
• Frequent overnight travel involved
• Willing to travel significant distances and at least 75% of the time
• Self-motivated

Physical Requirements & Exposures

• Carry, lift, push, and pull a minimum of 75 pounds
• Safely climb a ladder and reach heights of at least 12 ft.
• Constantly talk and hear
• Frequently stand, walk, sit, perform repetitive motions, and coordinate eyes, hands, and feet
• Occasionally lift, carry, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, and grasp
• Exposure to hot/cold/moisture and noise and hazards occasionally

• Regular and punctual attendance
