VDC Specialist

What You'll Do

• Manage and support the development of a data rich and accurate VDC model
• Set the course for the digital delivery of large and fast-paced projects, working with multi-discipline leads and executive management
• Support efforts from planning and conceptual effort through construction, commissioning and hand-over to the Operations teams
• Responsible for proper set up and maintenance and management of large, federated building models involving 8-10 design and engineering disciplines or more
• Projects are typically cloud-hosted and span across multiple internal and external design teams in different geographies and time zones
• Responsible for detailed MEP/CSA Clash Detection using Revizto / Navisworks to resolve model coordination issues before they are issued for construction
• Scope of responsibility will include coordination of overall accuracy & completeness of the models, physical & operational spatial coordination, timely implementation of design or clash resolution of any issues, and data integrations for other disciplines according to an aggressive schedule
• Introduce, support, and oversee the implementation of industry leading VDC technology
• This position will be part of a team that is expected to help develop, introduce, support, and oversee the implementation of industry leading VDC technologies, including those developed exclusively by/for the Tesla company

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience working with Engineering and Project Management teams on high-tech infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.)
• Proven expertise in Revit, Navisworks and reality capture applications
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, IFC, data interoperability and general awareness of other VDC and parametric design applications
• Experience with coding, visual programming (C#, Python, Dynamo), and database integrations are preferred
• Experience interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs and alignment between Work Breakdown Structure based cost tracking using VDC parameters
• Experience working with facility management teams in utilizing VDC for facility operations
