Vascular Tech - PPG General Surgery Monroe, PRN

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program
• Required or In Lieu of certificate, equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)
• Work Experience: No experience required
• Licenses and Certifications: BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire, ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography must be obtained within 180 days, ARDMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography - Breast licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with ARRT (BS) registration, RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist preferred, RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer preferred, RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer preferred
