Vascular Tech, FT

About the role

Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures as outlined in policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Laboratory, including but not limited to Duplex imaging and/or echocardiography. May be cross-trained into other areas in the department.

Responsibilities

• Affords responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within. Work is primarily independent.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of state accredited school of radiology technology with current or pending registration, or a graduate of state approved school of professional nursing, or a graduate of accredited echo/vascular school or licensed practical nursing with current or pending registration, or previous on the job training with documented experience.

Experience: Previous experience in cardiovascular diagnostic testing.

Qualifications

• RVS/RDCS/RVT/ARDMS or equivalent preferred or eligible to test.
• Must have obtained approved certification within one year of hire.
• Current BLS.
