Summary

The HUP Vascular Lab is seeking a full-time Specialist to join the team!

Responsibilities

  • Performs all aspects and modes of vascular laboratory testing, including arterial, venous, cerebrovascular, and visceral, according to established procedures and protocols.
  • Performs patient assessment, obtains pertinent history, reviews orders to ensure correct and accurate testing is performed.
  • Prepares preliminary reports of test results and communicates results to the referring healthcare provider.
  • Maintains accurate and complete patient records including worksheets, photographs, videotapes, paper, and computerized reports.
  • Aids the technical director in compiling quality assurance and improvement programs.
  • Aids in preparing and maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies and in the ICAVL accreditation process.
  • Aids in the orientation of new employees.
  • Aids in the proper maintenance and use of equipment.
  • Aids in patient and staff education regarding vascular disease and technology.
  • Performs clinical work flow duties in Penn Chart. Enters charges into Penn Chart as part of clinical work flow.
  • Stocks supplies, linens, and assists the technical director in ordering supplies.

Credentials

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • RDMS, RVS, RVT, or VT Cert (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (Preferred)
  • 1+ years Clinical experience in performing vascular lab testing (Preferred)

Qualifications

  • Must possess skills in performing Vascular Lab testing.
