Troubleshoots and corrects recording instrument malfunctions or unusual patient problems that interfere with recordings.
Independently Prioritizes
Independently prioritizes clinical and administrative work and identifies process improvements.
Processes Patient Records
- Processes patient and department records
- Ensures documentation of performed tests in accordance with hospital standards
Assists Physicians
- Affords assistance to physicians in performing specialized cardiovascular procedures
- Includes diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation, and electrophysiology studies
Evaluates and Documents
- Evaluates and documents patient status
- Responds appropriately
- Intervenes or refers in a timely manner to ensure optimal patient outcomes

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS)
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA)
