Physician - Vascular Surgeon - Full Time
Position Overview
Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport seek candidates for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery within the Department of Surgery. The position is under the Chaired leadership of R. Keith White, MD.
About the Role
The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery works in a tertiary care hospital that serves an urban and rural population of approximately 2.5 million people across 25,000 square miles in Louisiana, East Texas, and Southwestern Arkansas. It comprises 2 vascular faculty members and 1 APP, each handling a high volume of clinic and surgical cases, with a substantial referral base for complex conditions such as aneurysms, aorto-iliac disease, limb salvage, dialysis, carotid disease, TCAR, PE/DVT, venous disease, and trauma.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a busy open and endovascular practice with a significant referral volume of complex cases.
- Utilize a modern vascular and endovascular suite equipped with a ceiling-mounted imaging system and intravascular ultrasound.
- Engage in academic practice, focusing on patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and conducting clinical and/or basic science research.
- Publish regularly to enhance professional visibility and contributions to the field.
Requirements
- Fellowship trained in Vascular Surgery.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery.

Preference will be given to candidates with a strong academic record, demonstrated commitment to research, and a proven ability to contribute to the educational mission of the institution.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment are essential.
