Vascular Lab Technologist I

Responsibilities

• Captures and prioritizes ordered exams.
• Collaborates and coordinates with medical staff including physicians, APCs, medical fellows, and residents.
• Collects medical information and patient histories.
• Performs vascular ultrasound exams in accordance with department and accrediting body protocols and procedures.
• Documents exams and preliminary impressions.
• Cleans and maintains equipment, supplies, and work area.
• Might be assigned shared mobile outreach duties in support of Vascular Surgery clinics.

Qualifications

• Required: Verified competency in upper and lower extremity venous duplex, carotid duplex, and ankle brachial index (ABI) testing.
• Preferred: Current certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RT(VS)), or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with an Abdomen specialty (RDMS-AB).
• Licenses Required: Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential, current certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RT(VS)), or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
