Valuations Analyst

About the role

The Valuations Analyst (VA) will be responsible for valuing prospective deals and determining a scope of work for properties acquired by House Buyers of America. The VA must provide reliable estimates of market value for potential acquisitions and develop pricing strategies for properties sold.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for determining the pricing strategy to maximize ROI for all acquired properties and setting the turnaround times for dispositions.
• You will collaborate with the Sales and Construction Departments on pricing decisions, budgets, and the overall construction strategy.
• You will value properties across the entire US and ensure the accuracy of all valuations.
• You will meet the turnaround objectives for all valuations and prevent properties from sitting too long on the market.
• You will manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• You will assist in other tasks to help the company achieve its goals.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential property valuations/underwriting.
• An appraisal license or completion of all appraisal coursework (preferred).
• A Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Exceptional computer skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills

• Proficiency in valuation software and tools.
• Knowledge of real estate market trends and conditions.
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation.
