• Part-Time, 8:00am-6:30pm Tuesday, Friday and every other Saturday/Sunday

• $17.50-$22.50 per hour

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and passionate Chef/Cook to join our growing team at Valora Orono, a new Lifespark Senior Living Community. Located in the picturesque Orono community, just minutes from downtown Wayzata, Lake Minnetonka, and Long Lake, Valora Orono offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
• Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
• Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident’s families, and employees.
• Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.
