Chef/ Cook
Job Overview
Ebenezer is seeking a Cook/Chef to join their team at Jones-Harrison. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high-quality care. The Culinary position will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by residents in the Senior Living Community located in Minneapolis, MN.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes
- Handles and prepares food in a safe manner following policies and infection control and safety standards
- Ensures timely production and meal service is provided to residents
- Sets up line service
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work area after each use
- Affords assistance with special events
- Affords assistance to the Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
Requirements
- ServSafe certification, or must be acquired within 90 days of start date
- Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications
- Must have good problem-solving and time leadership skills
- Must have good written and oral communication skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Qualifications
- Vocational/technical training/education/degree: High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Cooking experience in a similar environment: Scratch cooking experience preferred

Pay

Schedule
Full-time culinary services position includes: 64 hours per two weeks, Day/ evening shift, Every other weekend
