Chef/Cook

Job Overview

Martin Luther Care Center, part of the Martin Luther Senior Living Campus, is seeking a Cook/Chef to join their team. This full-time culinary services position includes 80 hours per two weeks, rotating shifts, and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Properly cook foods to specified temperatures.
• Products meet temperature and quality standards.
• Follow standardized recipes and products to ensure consistency in quality and nutritional value.
• Weigh and measure ingredients per standardized recipes.
• Use correct portioning utensils.
• Assemble food within specified time frames.
• Ensure production and meal service are provided in a timely manner.
• Prepare bakery items per standardized recipes.
• Accurately complete tasks listed on daily preparation sheets.
• Assist with special events.

Required Qualifications

• One to three years of experience.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Food Handlers certification from an ANAB-CFP accredited program within 90 days.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate of Arts or vocational/technical training in food service.
• Working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications.
• Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) issued by the State of Minnesota for locations in MN within 90 days.

Compensation

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
