Chef/Cook

Job Overview

Ebenezer is seeking a Cook/Chef to join their team at Arbors at Ridges, a Senior Living Community in Burnsville, MN.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals using standardized recipes to meet culinary standards.
• Plate food for optimal eye appeal to encourage consumption by residents.
• Handle and prepare food safely, adhering to policies and infection control standards.
• Ensure timely production and meal service to residents.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use.
• Assist with special events.
• Assist the Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 shifts per month, including 1 weekend.
• Vocational/technical training/education/degree preferred, but not required.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Scratch cooking experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and comfort with Microsoft applications.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Qualifications

• ServSafe certification, or must be acquired within 90 days of start date.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
