Valet Part Time

About the role

Come join our award-winning team as part-time Valet at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in downtown Salt Lake City.

Responsibilities

• Extend a warm, friendly welcome to arriving guests.
• Carefully and efficiently park, secure, and retrieve vehicles.
• Respond helpfully to guest questions about the property, getting around and nearby happenings.
• Communicate parking procedures to guests.
• Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Graciously assist guests with issues arising out of the parking experience.
• Making sure all public areas/walkways are safe and clutter-free. (This includes helping Maintenance Department in the winter with snow removal).
• Consistently demonstrate conscientious cash handling in accordance with departmental procedures

Requirements

• Must be 21+
• Pass a mandatory background check and drug test
• Possess a valid driver license with clean driving record

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience required
• Prior customer service experience helpful
• Previous cash handling experience preferred

Skills

• Ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles
• Ability to effectively monitor hotel for any safety/security issues
• Strong communication skills
• Calm, service‑oriented demeanor
• Ability to move and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally, walking and running during high business levels to retrieve cars

Pay

Pay is hourly with potential for tips.

Schedule

Position is part‑time, Saturdays/Sundays, 3pm‑11pm.
