Valet (Part-Time)

About the role

Join Saint Kate—The Arts Hotel, a celebrated luxury hotel in Milwaukee’s Theater District and a creative hub for the city. As a part-time Valet, you’ll welcome guests and park and retrieve vehicles promptly and safely, setting the tone for their stay.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all guests, assist with check-ins/outs, and effectively resolve challenging guest requests and complaints.
• Lift, carry, and load luggage onto bell carts; read and match luggage tags; write claim tickets; and escort guests to their rooms with their items.
• Park cars and ensure the hotel’s front drive is guest-ready at all times.
• Represent the hotel with professionalism and decorum, remaining calm and alert during emergencies or heavy activity.
• Attend all scheduled mandatory Guest Services Department meetings, trainings, and hotel meetings.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as requested or assigned.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, two years of driving experience, and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior hospitality or valet experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively address guest and employee concerns in a friendly, positive manner, demonstrating empathy and proactive solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills, including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to handle luggage tags, claim checks, and rooming lists.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry luggage and packages up to 100 lbs. continuously throughout the shift.
• Must represent the company in a professional, well-groomed, and courteous manner at all times.
