About the Role

The Guest Experience Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. This includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage (including delivery and pick-up during arrival and departure), and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction throughout their experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly attitude. Uses guest last names during interactions, salutation of the day, and welcomes guests to the location. Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette. Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks. (25%)
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously. Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. (25%)
  • Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed. Conducts thorough room presentations for guests and assists with room changes when needed. (20%)
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries. Provides information about facility amenities, meeting rooms, outlets, and local attractions. Delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested. Shuttles guests to approved locations. (10%)
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival. Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks prior to issuing keys. Completes and maintains all ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage surveys, and claim check receipts. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed. (20%)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English, including simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s, and perform operations using American currency.
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems, as well as applicable rates for time passed.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform parallel parking.

Pay

Hourly base pay range: $13.50–$15.50 per hour plus tips (average $100–$200 in tips daily).

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • The majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods, including the entire duration of the shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold weather.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods and may need to run, walk, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Lifting requirements: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
  • Travel of up to 5% may be required.
