About the role

The Guest Experience Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. This includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, assisting guests with luggage (delivery and pick-up during arrival and departure), and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor. Uses guest last names during interactions, salutation of the day, and welcomes guests to the location. Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette. Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks. (25%)
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously. Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. (25%)
  • Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed. Conducts thorough room presentations for guests. Assists guests with room changes when needed. (20%)
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries. Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area. Delivers messages, items, and/or guest amenities as requested. Shuttles guests to approved locations. (10%)
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival. Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys. Completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey, and claim check receipt. Completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed. (20%)

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state.
  • One (1) month of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.
  • Perform parallel parking.

Skills

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Ability to read and write standard English.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems.
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods and may be required to run, walk, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • The majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods, including the entire duration of the shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • Travel of up to 5% may be required.

Pay

The hourly base pay range for this position is $13.50–$15.50 per hour plus tips (average $100–$200 in tips daily).
