About the role

This position is responsible for reviewing damages on vacant properties, determining if repairs are required per investor guidelines, and requesting funding for the damages. The role involves filing insurance claims with adjusters via phone and email to provide necessary documentation for timely claim settlements. Funding and damage approval requests to investors require gathering supporting documentation and submitting written requests.

Responsibilities

  • Review property inspection results and confirm reported property vacancies
  • Review vacant property condition reports and property appraisals to assess damage
  • Update system notes with detailed status updates on funding requests
  • Review claims and investor responses to ensure damages were covered
  • Appeal denials if necessary

Requirements

  • Up to one year of relevant work experience; previous property preservation or property insurance experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Assertiveness and ability to provide clear direction
  • Strong bias for action and good judgment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient math skills

This position is fully onsite in an administrative/clerical capacity, processing loan-level property preservation files.
