About the role
The VA Disability Paralegal will support attorneys in managing cases related to veterans' disability claims, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with legal requirements, while assisting with client communication and case preparation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage legal documents related to VA disability claims.
- Complete and file VA forms, particularly the 21-526EZ, 20-0995, and 20-0996.
- File claims and appeals through VA QuickSubmit.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation and research.
- Maintain client files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Communicate with clients regarding case updates and documentation needs.
- Coordinate with external parties, including medical professionals and government agencies.
- Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of required documents.
- Support attorneys during hearings and legal proceedings as needed.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, and correspondence.
Requirements
- Familiarity with VA disability claims processes.
- A VA PIV card is not required but would be a significant plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with legal software and standard office applications.

Pay
