UX Researcher I | B2B SaaS & Enterprise Products
Position Overview
We are seeking a UX Researcher I to join a high-impact product research team supporting enterprise and geospatial technology initiatives. This role will provide temporary coverage for a senior researcher and requires an individual who can independently drive research projects while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across product, design, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience conducting end-to-end UX research in a corporate environment, with a strong background in B2B or SaaS products and the ability to uncover actionable insights through primary research methods.
Key Requirements
Professional Experience: Minimum 18 months of professional UX research experience in a corporate or business environment.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, designers, engineers, and business partners.
Academic-only or university research backgrounds will not be considered.
No maximum experience limit; the focus is on identifying the strongest candidate within budget.
Research Ownership & Execution
Demonstrated ownership of at least 2–3 complete research projects from planning through final recommendations.
Ability to independently manage research activities, synthesize findings, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
Candidates should have led research initiatives rather than contributing only to isolated portions of studies.
Preferred Background
Primary Focus Areas: Approximately 80% primary research and 20% secondary/desk research.
Strong emphasis on usability testing, user interviews, workflow evaluations, and other direct research methods.
Ability to design, execute, and analyze studies with minimal supervision.
Tools & Platforms: Experience with the following is preferred:
AI-assisted research and productivity tools
Qualtrics or similar quantitative research platforms
Standard UX research tools for recruitment, moderation, analysis, and reporting
Project Management
Researchers typically manage multiple projects simultaneously, such as one project in planning and research design, one project actively collecting or analyzing data, and one project focused on reporting and stakeholder communication.
To maintain quality and focus, active participant data collection is generally limited to one study at a time.
Preferred Industry Experience
Strongly Preferred: B2B Software, SaaS Platforms, Enterprise Technology Solutions
Nice-to-Have Geospatial, Mapping, Navigation, or Location-Intelligence Experience
Candidates from relevant adjacent industries such as logistics & supply chain, travel & tourism, telecommunications, insurance, and products involving location-based services, operational tracking, or complex internal workflows are encouraged to apply.
