UX Researcher
About the Role
Ipsos UX, a subdivision of our Customer Experience team, covers all aspects of the end-user's interaction with a company and its products. UX research is at the heart of user-centered design, ensuring every design decision is informed by research about users, their expectations, activities, and interactions. Ipsos believes in conducting UX research throughout the design process, not just at the evaluative stage.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects with senior oversight, including logistical planning, screener development, recruiting, facility vendor management, discussion guide development, and data collection piloting.
- Manage project financials, including time management of team members and budget accountability.
- Execute data collection and analysis activities, such as moderating sessions and conducting interviews.
- Write reports with guidance from senior leaders and support insightful recommendations in reporting and final deliverables.
- Provide support to the team in various project phases as defined by the project lead.
- Support client new business initiatives, such as drafting proposals or assisting in bidding work with oversight from a Director or senior leader.
- Mentor and coach team members, demonstrating efficiency in a variety of UX activities.
- Contribute to thought leadership and internal initiatives outside of assigned project work.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach team members.
- Experience in team leadership, including training.
- Good understanding of client management.
- Basic to proficient skills in discussion guide development.
- Ability to moderate a variety of session types and techniques.
- Support logistics and planning throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strong note-taking ability to record data fitting research objectives.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
- 2+ years of experience in user experience or a related field (e.g., qualitative or quantitative research); 3+ years highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in human factors, HCI, behavioral sciences, or equivalent experience (e.g., BFA).

Pay
In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $95,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on non-discriminatory factors including location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education, and certifications.
