UX Researcher -- 17216
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UX research initiatives from planning through analysis and presentation.
- Design and execute both generative and evaluative research studies.
- Conduct qualitative research including: User interviews, Usability testing (remote and in-person), Contextual inquiry, Ethnographic research, Focus groups, Co-design workshops.
- Conduct quantitative research using surveys, behavioral data, and usability metrics.
- Develop research plans, discussion guides, screeners, and participant recruitment strategies.
- Analyze research findings and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Create research deliverables including: Personas, Journey maps, Experience maps, Design principles, Research reports, Executive presentations.
- Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and Business teams to prioritize user needs and improve digital experiences.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborative sessions to align stakeholders around customer insights.
- Evaluate product concepts and prototypes to identify usability improvements and innovation opportunities.
- Support Agile product teams by providing research that informs product strategy and roadmap decisions.
- Measure the value and impact of product enhancements using user research and behavioral insights.
Required Skills/Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, User Experience, Design, Social Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience conducting UX Research for digital products or customer-facing applications.
- Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Experience conducting: Usability testing, User interviews, Contextual inquiry, Journey mapping, Persona development, Surveys, Focus groups, Card sorting.
- Experience using UX research platforms for participant recruitment and study execution.
- Experience creating compelling research deliverables and communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to synthesize complex research into actionable product recommendations.
- Experience collaborating with Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers, and business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Design Thinking methodologies.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent research initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Market Research, UX, Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting financial services, fintech, banking, or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience applying Design Thinking frameworks to product discovery.
- Knowledge of behavioral analytics and statistical analysis.
- Experience facilitating innovation workshops and stakeholder alignment sessions.
