UX Designer Specialist

About the role

This is a contract position for a UX Designer Specialist. The role is remote and offers flexible commitment of 10-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user research data to identify patterns, user needs, and actionable insights.
• Conduct heuristic evaluations and UX audits to assess product usability and alignment with best practices.
• Organize findings into well-structured research summaries, usability reports, and rationale documents.
• Evaluate and document information architecture and interaction design decisions.
• Apply accessibility standards (WCAG) to audit and improve digital products for inclusivity.
• Produce clear, precise written communications that convey research outcomes and design rationales to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Have strong relevant experience in UX design, user research, usability testing, or related domains.
• Demonstrated experience authoring research syntheses, usability evaluations, UX audit reports, or similar documentation.
• Proficiency with heuristic analysis, information architecture, and interaction design principles.
• Strong understanding of accessibility guidelines such as WCAG and their practical application.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate intricate concepts in clear written English.

Pay

$90 - $140/hour
