UX Designer, Assistant Vice President
About the role
The Morgan Stanley UX Designer will play a crucial role in improving the user experience of financial products. This includes working closely with the UX lead to formulate and execute the product vision, understanding and documenting the needs of clients, and creating intuitive interfaces that enhance user experience.
Responsibilities
- Help formulate and execute the product vision by being involved in every step of the end-to-end product design process
- Understand and document the underlying needs and motivation of our clients to ensure we achieve business goals and provide value to our clients
- Work closely with the research team to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and make value-driven design decisions that translate into clear, simple UIs
- Create and present a variety of design deliverables (sketches, wireframes, user flows and prototypes) in a way that engenders confidence in you and your solutions with the team and the greater organization
- Design and deliver responsive/adaptive solutions that are optimized for web and mobile interfaces and partner with engineers to translate designs into successful products
- Work closely with the larger Wealth Management UX team to share design best practices, align on patterns, and promote a design-centric culture at the firm
- Advocate for all user abilities by thoroughly testing design deliverables to meet WCAG ADA compliance
Requirements
You have an outstanding portfolio that demonstrates how you have created experiences that solved business and user needs. You have 3-6 years of experience as a UX designer who was a key contributor to the success of products that have launched. You have a bachelor's degree in design or related field, and a master’s degree is preferred. You have excellent skills in Figma and experience designing intuitive interfaces that enhance user experience and drive customer engagement. You can leverage research, wireframes and prototypes to effectively validate and enhance your design concepts to achieve the best possible solutions for your users. You thrive in a collaborative, explorative environment and value being on a diverse team to brainstorm and get feedback from within a large organization. You practice active listening and contribute in group situations like brainstorms, audits, critiques, and whiteboard sessions. You get excited by complex projects with high levels of ambiguity and are resilient in the face of obstacles.
