About the role

ELM Utility Services is seeking a Utility Locate Technician in the Boys Town, Nebraska area. As an essential member of the community, you will ensure that gas, electric, and communication systems remain dependable and well-maintained through high-quality utility marking during excavation.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, safe, and efficient utility locating and marking using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Receive daily tasks via a mobile work system
• Work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends
• Pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Experience with the LaunchPoint software system is preferred
• Ability to work independently outdoors with a company-provided vehicle

Skills

• Proficiency with marking paint and flags
• Knowledge of underground utility locations
• Ability to work on-call and overtime

Pay

$22.00-$30.00/hr

Schedule

Working independently outdoors with a company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, completing a route of locate requests each day. Overtime and on-call rotations may be required.
