ELM Utility Services is an EEO employer offering a great opportunity for a Utility Locate Technician in the Lincoln, Nebraska area. ELM Technicians ensure that gas, electric, and communication systems are dependable and well-maintained by performing high-quality utility marking to avoid damage during excavation.
Responsibilities
- Complete a route of locate requests each day
- Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
- Use a mobile work system to receive daily tasks
- Work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends when necessary
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check
- High School Diploma or GED & at least 18 years of age
Skills
- Ability to work independently outdoors
- Knowledge of underground utility systems
- Proficiency with marking tools and techniques

Pay
$22.00-$30.00/hr
Schedule
Working independently outdoors with a company-provided vehicle as your mobile office, you will complete a route of locate requests each day. Overtime and on-call rotations may be required.

This is a Safety-Sensitive DOT position that must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations. The use of Marijuana remains a drug listed in Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act, and its use is prohibited.
