ELM Utility Services is an EEO employer offering a great opportunity for a Utility Locate Technician in the Elkhorn, Nebraska area. ELM Technicians ensure that gas, electric, and communication systems are dependable and well-maintained by performing high-quality utility marking to avoid damage during excavation.

Responsibilities

• Complete a route of locate requests each day
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags, and sometimes whiskers
• Use a mobile work system to receive daily tasks
• Work on-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends when necessary

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check
• Must comply with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations

Skills

• Ability to work independently outdoors
• Proficiency with the LaunchPoint software system

Schedule

• Working independently outdoors with a company-provided vehicle as your mobile office
• On-call rotation and overtime as needed, including nights and weekends
