Utility Cleaner Overnight | Housekeeping

Overview

To ensure that assigned housekeeping areas are kept clean and fully stocked at all times.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and stocks linen room / supply closets to appropriate par level.
• Empties GRAs linens and garbage on an hourly basis or as needed.
• Serves assigned public areas and Associate areas to meet the expectations of the Omni Standards.
• Cleans and services all offices.
• Keeps corridors on guest room floors clean and well maintained, helping move tables and trays.
• Cleans vending machine area.
• Moves furniture and supply boxes as needed.
• Completes guest requests.
• Vacuums carpet on a daily basis.
• Cleans walls, doors, baseboards and floors on a daily basis.
• Cleans all furniture, lamps, picture frames and mirrors are clean on a daily basis.
• Replaces any light bulbs in lighting fixtures as needed.
• Cleans garbage receptacles and/or ash urns on a daily basis.
• Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among co-workers.
• Treats co-workers fairly and equitably.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Prior housekeeping experience required or other relevant environmental services experience.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
• Requires frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
• Able to communicate effectively with fellow associates and guests in person or via a cellular telephone/radio.
• Willing to work flexible hours as needed during busy times and high-profile events, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
• Must be able to handle stressful and busy hotel operations.
• Able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.
• Must be able to report to work on time and when scheduled.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all time.
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Computer literacy to include: Payroll systems Omni Hotels & Resorts
